Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a bed and breakfast different from a hotel?

Our bed and breakfast differs from a hotel in that each room is unique and we, the owners, also live on the property and serve you breakfast each morning! We also only have 5 rooms, so we are smaller than most hotels. It is similar to a hotel in that each room has its own bathroom.

Are your rooms handicap accessible?

Our guest rooms are all located on the second and third floors of the Inn which may make the property inaccessible to guests with moderate to severe mobility issues. We apologize if this creates limitations for any of our guests. Please call us at 262-327-3439 with questions.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes! Please text or call 262-327-3439 or email eat@mivintageinn.com at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival to let us know about any allergies and dietary restrictions you may have.

Do I need to notify the host when I check in, leave, or return to the Inn?

We have contactless check-in and check-out via mobile registration, so you can check in and out on your phone. We will be there to greet you and show you your room on the first day of your arrival. You don’t need to let us know when you leave or return each day, as you will have a key to the Inn and your private room.

What does it cost to stay at a Bed and Breakfast?

The cost is similar to other lodging, except that it includes a three-course breakfast!

Do rooms at Vintage Inn come with their own bathrooms?

Yes! All of our rooms have a private, en-suite bathroom. Please see the room descriptions for details on the size and type of shower and/or tub in each room.

How far is the Vintage Inn from Lake Michigan?

The Vintage Inn is 3 miles by car or 2.5 miles by bike from South Beach in South Haven.

Is tipping allowed at Vintage Inn?

Tipping is not necessary at the Vintage Inn.

Does Vintage Inn offer breakfast?

Yes! Even better – your farm-fresh gourmet breakfast is included at no extra charge 🙂

Does Vintage Inn offer any add-ons like picnics?

We do offer other food and beverage offerings such as cheese and charcuterie boards and private dinners.

Is Vintage Inn child friendly?

The Vintage Inn is located at the site of a winery. As such, it is primarily lodging for adults. Children 12 and over may stay at the Inn if accompanied by a parent.

Are pets allowed?

Pets other than service animals are not allowed to protect the antique decor and to ensure that all guests can enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay.

Is smoking allowed?

For the health, comfort and safety of our family and guests, there is NO smoking/vaping/marijuana usage inside of the Inn or on the sun deck on the second floor. Guests who want to smoke/vape are free to do so outside in the marked designated areas.

Do you serve alcohol?

We serve wine! We have a winery and tasting room license which permits us to serve wine by the glass and bottle at the Vintage Inn. We will not be able to sell beer, spirits, or any wine other than our own. All guests must be 21 years of age unless accompanied by a parent. Bottles can also be purchased to take home!
